FAQs
What equipment do I need?
At the very least, one set of dumbbells will do. However, to get the most out of the program and the exercises I would recommend two sets of dumbbells (a lighter and heavier pair) and a mini resistance band. If you're unsure of what weights to get, aim for something you'd easily be able to do 15+ shoulder presses with, and then another set of weights that would make too many more than 10 a struggle.
How many workouts are there per week?
The program is divided into 3 workouts per week, with six months of workouts all ready to go for you right now and more added every week. It is entirely up to you if you want to do more or less than three workouts each week! The workouts are also designed to be able to be done daily if you want, as they work different muscle groups, but you decide how to space out your rest days. Listening to your body is always the way to go!
How is this program different from other workout memberships?
Here at Fit From Home, we focus more on how the workouts make you feel and less on how they may make you look. In an effort to deviate away from diet culture norms of fitness, there is no pressure or expectation of weight loss or use of language like "burning, sculpting, toning" etc during the videos. Your body is already perfect - we don't need to change it. Let's focus instead on getting stronger and feeling better!
What fitness levels is the membership appropriate for?
Fit From Home is designed to cater to a wide variety of fitness levels. Firstly, the workouts all utilize timed intervals so that you can take each exercise at your own pace, and choose how "hard" you want to go. There are also alternatives given for exercises that are more challenging or higher-intensity. Can't jump around too much right now? Not a problem - there's an alternative for that! And if there is ever a substitution that doesn't feel good, just let me know privately or in the facebook group and I'd be happy for offer other ideas!
What is the cost of the membership? Can I cancel anytime?
The membership has several different payment options: a recurring monthly payment of $25/month (can cancel anytime), or one time payments of $60 for three months, $90 for six months.. or $144 for twelve months (all prices in Canadian).
If subscribing monthly for $25, payment will be automatically drawn each month until plan is cancelled. If a three, six month or 12 month plan is purchased, your subscription will end once that time period is up, and a new subscription will need to be purchased in order to continue accessing the channel. If you cancel the recurring monthly payment of $25/month, you will still have access to the videos until your month is up, i.e. if you purchase a one month plan on July 1, then cancel half way through the month, you'll still be able to access the videos until August 1. After which, you will no longer be able to access the videos and will not be charged.
